With their 2nd location opening soon in Glendora, California, The Stubborn Mule enlisted Draft Beer Intelligence to install a custom twenty (20) faucet remote draft beer system.
This project included demolishing an existing sixty (60) faucet draft beer system that was installed and not maintained by the previous owners of the restaurant. The previous restaurant was known for warm and off-tasting beer, which wasn’t a good experience for its customers.
The Stubborn Mule ownership team wanted to ensure every customer received a fresh, cold beer pint after pint, so they went all in on the DBI Standard (aka the highest quality)… This means that we used the best stainless steel parts, components, and barrier tubing that guarantee each pint tastes the way the brewer intended.
We were excited to build a custom system for a restaurant team that wants to service beer the right way. Here is how the project went…
Demo of the Existing Draft Beer System
The demolition consisted of removing the previous draft and all 900’+ of draft beer lines.
DBI Custom Secondary Regulator Panels & Trunkline
Our custom panels include all stainless steel components, and for this installation, we use an upgraded, smaller diameter Micromatic Barriermaster Flavourlock trunkline that has an exceptional gas barrier layer along with outstanding hygienic quality.
And the Barriermaster Flavourlock beer trunkline is ideal for protection against cross migration of flavors.
The New Custom Beer Tower
We installed a custom beer tower with Perlick stainless steel beer faucets. The tower installation includes all stainless steel components and barrier tubing.
Glycol Power Pack
And lastly, we installed a Micromatic 1.5 HP glycol power pack to keep the beer cold from the walk-in cooler to the beer tower.
