Neon Beer Brewery enlisted Draft Beer Intelligence to install their 7 HP G&D Glycol Chiller and chiller piping for the brewery located in Pomona, CA. This brewery chiller system was installed per the DBI standard (aka the high quality).
This means we are using one of the best brewery chillers in the industry and GF piping systems for all piping and valve components.
We surveyed the location with the owners on day one to get their vision for this project. This location was once an existing brewery, but it was not set up to be efficient or successful in terms of the brewery chiller design and operation.
Draft Beer Intelligence designed and engineered this brewery’s chiller and piping layout. The DBI design chiller piping design ensures all fermenting tanks receive an equal flow of glycol that guarantees proper management of tank temperatures.
We come across many breweries that have their installations completed by plumbers, a handyman, or pipe fitters that don’t specialize in breweries and chiller operation. Those installations lead to issues with fermenting tanks either being unable to maintain temperature or the brewer can’t crash their tanks. These flow issues won’t happen on a Draft Beer Intelligence installation.
All projects are special for us, but this was a fun one. We were able to partner with Alex Teran, who we worked with at another restaurant company many years ago. We also had a great time working with their head brewer Ryan.
